IT Engineer

We have an exciting opportunity to join the team at TEAL as an IT Engineer who will work as part of our school support team, supporting the IT infrastructure across all TEAL Schools, Including LAN, WAN, WiFi, Server, Storage and IT assets. You will be the local IT support team’s escalation link for resolving 2nd/3rd line issues effectively, to allow the on-site teams to efficiently manage 1st/2nd line queries. The role is solutions and problem-solving oriented, working closely with the local IT support team, the TEAL School Support IT team, and the IT Director to provide an outstanding IT Support service.

The role will be based at The Snaith School near Goole, however you will be required to travel to other sites where required.

This is a permanent position working up to 37 hours per week, however If you are interested in working on a part time or flexible basis, please get in touch as we would be happy to explore this further with you. 

Your actual salary upon appointment with TEAL will be £33,945 (based on a full time equivalent).

What are we looking for?

We are looking for an individual who has previous senior IT support experience including the day-to-day running of the organisations IT and infrastructure including systems, software and network maintenance (ideally in a school or educational setting). 

Your knowledge, skills and experience:

  • Degree level Qualification in IT/ relevant networking certifications would be an advantage, but not essential
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Windows 10 and Windows Server 2012 R2+ through to Windows Server 2019
  • Working experience of networking hardware configuration and network deployment applications such as SCCM, InTune, Google Admin Console and MDM solutions.
  • Multi-domain-single tenant office365 management
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Backup infrastructure technologies, NAS, Replication Hosts, Veeam and BaaS.
