Kitchen Assistant

We are currently recruiting for a Kitchen Assistant to join our catering team.  Each day you will help to prepare and serve meals and snacks for our young people.  Working in a friendly team under the guidance of a Cook, you will make sure our kitchens and canteen areas are clean and ready for busy break and lunchtimes.

The working hours are 10 hours each week on a rota basis between the hours of 12:00pm and 2:00pm Monday to Friday during the school term.  You will also be paid for an additional an additional 10 hours per year in the school holidays, to help carry out deep cleans of the kitchen areas. Your actual salary is £5,192.73 per annum, and this is paid in 12 equal instalments over the year so even when it is the summer holidays, you continue to receive the same payment that month. If you are interested in working on a part time basis, please get in touch and we are happy to explore this further with you.

What we are looking for?

  • Basic General Education
  • Previous experience of preparing food, preferably in a professional kitchen/catering environment
