Breakfast Club Assistant

We are looking to appoint a Breakfast Club Assistant who will join the existing team in providing wraparound care to our pupils.

The working hours are 7.30am – 8.50am Monday to Friday during the school term.

The actual salary will be £3,487.60 per annum, and this is paid in 12 equal instalments over the year.

Why choose us?

The breakfast club is an important part of the daily life of our school, ensuring the children who attend can access a healthy breakfast and enjoyable activities before the start of the school day.

We are committed to providing a friendly, stimulating environment in the school, which allows each child to respond positively to opportunities, challenges and responsibilities. We encourage pupils to work both independently and co-operatively, to think creatively and critically and to solve their own problems.

As well as a friendly and supportive environment, we offer a range of benefits including:

  • Access to our staff benefits platform which includes big brand discounts and other financial incentives including a cycle to work scheme offering discounted bike purchases

  • Family friendly policies and opportunities for flexible working, with a trust commitment to continually look to ways to improve the work-life balance for our staff

  • Membership of the East Riding Pension Scheme with benefits including secure earnings linked pension and a lump sum death grant of three times your salary

  • Well-being support including discounted East Riding gym membership; free annual flu vaccinations; refund of the cost of the annual NHS prescription prepayment certificate; access to a free employee assistance scheme 24/7 with advice on a wide range of practical issues ranging from legal information and consumer issues to specialist counselling.

  • Fully funded and supported access to apprenticeship standards and great career pathways

What are we are looking for?

We are looking for a committed individual who has previous experience of working with children and holds (or is willing to undertake) a paediatric first aid qualification. Ideally the successful candidate will have previous experience of providing childcare or wraparound care, however this is not essential as full training will be provided.

We look forward to receiving your application and we will contact you once your application has been reviewed.
