Learning Support Officer

The team at The Hub School are looking to appoint a passionate and highly effective Learning Support Officer who will work within our established team of staff providing for vulnerable young people

The postholder will predominately work closley with class teacher's providing our primary aged (key stage 2) children and/or students aged 11-16 (key stage 3) with agreed support to help create and maintain a purposeful and supportive learning environment, particularly helping children and/or students overcome barriers to learning, including social, emotional and mental health needs. 

This post holder will be required to work during school hours, Monday to Friday during the school term. As part of your contractual arrangements, you will be paid for an additional 5 days per year to attend team meetings and training and development outside of your normal working hours. 

The actual salary based on a full-time position will be £20.575 per annum, to be paid in 12 equal instalments over the year.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for people who are committed to ensuring every individual student receives the care, support and guidance they need to thrive and be the best they can be. The successful applicant will have a good standard of Education, including Numeracy and Literacy at Level 2 (or equivalent), a good working knowledge and understanding of barriers to learning and previous experience of working with vulnerable children and/or young people in an educational environment.
