Are you passionate about Teaching and Learning and dedicated to making a positive impact on young people's lives?
The team at The Hub School are looking to appoint a SENCO who will play a pivotal role in providing a high standard of teaching and learning to support students of all backgrounds and abilities. Starting in September 2025, the role is full time and will be paid on TEAL’s qualified teachers pay scale (points 1 to 9) plus SEN Allowance/TLR2B. If you are interested in working on a part time basis, please get in touch as we would be happy to explore this further with you.
Why choose us?
We offer specialist support for pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs and this is at the centre of everything we do. We support our pupils to accelerate their academic, social and emotional skills development and ultimately enable them to positively engage with learning. We have a strong, supportive and dedicated team who collectively work with all stakeholders to provide the best possible educational experience and environment. Our Trust moto is ‘work hard and be nice to people’. We are genuinely committed to our pupils and our staff, and we do everything we can to ensure every child receives the care and guidance they need to thrive.
Within The Education Alliance Multi Academy Trust, there are lots of opportunities for collaboration and also further opportunities to develop and progress. As a trust, we are here to make great schools and happier, stronger communities so that people have better lives.
For too long in many schools, staff have been asked to choose between being seen as good at their job and being a good mum, dad, partner, son, daughter or friend. We are doing everything we can to support our staff to balance the demands of their jobs and those at home.
To support this, we:

Above all, we recognise that seeking to remove the number of tasks staff undertake will have little effect on improving work/home balance if this happens within a toxic culture. To support this, we offer training for our leaders to ensure they are able to translate our values into behaviours which are built on the principles of dignity, respect, professionalism and integrity.
We offer a range of benefits, including:
What are we looking for?
You will be joining a well-established, committed team who are supportive and forward-thinking. We seek someone with experience of working with children and young people with a range of special educational needs, who possesses the skills, knowledge and motivation to be able to make a difference.
The candidate will have a strong knowledge of statutory processes and experience of working with professionals and parents/carers, participating in planned reviews.
If you are an ambitious, committed and enthusiastic individual, who wants to be a significant part of supporting young people with SEMH needs, we look forward to receiving your application.
