Why choose us?

We offer specialist support for students with social, emotional and mental health needs and this sits at the centre of everything we do.

We are genuinely committed to our students and our staff and have a strong, supportive and dedicated staff team whose moto is ‘work hard and be nice to people’.

Within The Education Alliance Multi Academy Trust, there are lots of opportunities for collaboration and also further opportunities to develop and progress.  As a trust, we are here to make great schools and happier, stronger communities so that people have better lives.

For too long in many schools, staff have been asked to choose between being seen as good at their job and being a good mum, dad, partner, son, daughter or friend. We are doing everything we can to support our staff to balance the demands of their jobs and those at home.

As well as a friendly and supportive environment, we offer a range of benefits including:

  • Access to professional qualifications via the apprenticeship levy including routes into teaching via our Teacher Training Provider (YWTT)
  • Free, on-site parking as well as tea and coffee in all of our staff rooms
  • Well-being support including discounted East Riding gym membership; free annual flu vaccinations; refund of the cost of the annual NHS prescription prepayment certificate; access to a free employee assistance scheme 24/7 with advice on a wide range of issues ranging from legal information and consumer issues to specialist counselling and our virtual GP service.
  • Family friendly policies, including sector leading Maternity, Adoption and Neonatal care pay offers.
  • Opportunities for flexible working
  • Automatic membership of the East Riding Pension Scheme (subject to eligability)
  • Recognition of continuous service if you join us from another school, academy or local government employer
  • Access to our staff benefits platform which includes big brand discounts and other financial incentives including a cycle to work scheme offering discounted bike purchases

Above all, we recognise that seeking to remove the number of tasks staff undertake will have little effect on improving work/home balance if this happens within a toxic culture.  To support this, we offer training for our leaders to ensure they are able to translate our values into behaviours which are built on the principles of dignity, respect, professionalism and integrity.

What are we looking for?

The right candidate will be able to plan and undertake educational activities with individuals, groups and whole classes within an agreed framework. To plan and deliver programmes of teaching and learning activities for classes of students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Support and implement/coaching and training other members of staff.
