Home- School Liaison Officer

Malet Lambert School are looking for an individual who is committed to making a positive impact in the lives of young people to join our friendly and dedicated attendance team.

The working hours are from 8:00am to 16:00pm Monday to Thursday and 8:00am to 3:30pm Friday during the school term.  You will also be paid for an additional 74 hours per year, which enables you to attend team meetings and training and development outside of your normal working hours.  Your actual salary will be £24,025.55 per annum, and this is paid in 12 equal instalments over the year.  If you are interested in working on a part time basis, please get in touch and we are happy to explore this further with you. 

Key Responsibilities

Your main role as Home - School Liaison Officer is to promote positive attendance and behaviour along with effective working relationships with the families in the community the school serves

  • Previously worked within youth services or a secondary school setting
  • Experience of working with children with a range of SEND including (Emotional, Challenging and Behavioural difficulties)
  • Experience of Behaviour Management Strategies
  • Experience of maintaining pupils learning records and reports

The successful applicant will have GCSE in English and Maths, grade C and a recognised appropriate qualification at diploma level or above or equivalents
