Deputy Head of House

The team at Malet Lambert School l are looking to appoint a passionate and highly effective Deputy Head of House to join our pastoral team.

Our excellent pastoral care is a key driver to our success at Malet Lambert.  The house system is assisting us in further motivating our pupils and encouraging them to invest more into the ethos of our school.  The successful candidate will have experience of pastoral care and will be responsible for the day to day management of efficient and effective Behaviour for Learning procedures, providing a confidential, administrative, and pastoral and community liaison function. 

This post holder will be required to work up to 37 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 8:00am to 4:00pm and 8:00am to 3:30pm Friday during the school term. As part of your contractual arrangements, you will be paid for an additional 15 days per year to attend team meetings and training and development outside of your normal working hours. 

The actual salary based on a full-time position will be £25,414.58 per annum, to be paid in 12 equal instalments over the year.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for people who are committed to ensuring every individual pupil receives the care, support and guidance they need to thrive and be the best they can be. The successful applicant will have a English & Maths C or above and previous experience of working with vulnerable children and/or young people in an educational environment.
