We are seeking to appoint a passionate and highly effective Higher-Level Teaching Assistant, you will work within our team of staff providing for vulnerable young people. 

This will include teaching different groups of students and co-ordinating the support of students to ensure positive engagement with learning. You will become a key member to support both staff and students in developing a positive learning culture across the school.  

The working hours are from 08:30am to 16:00pm Monday to Friday during the school term.  You will also be paid for an additional 35 hours per year, which enables you to attend team meetings and training and development outside of your normal working hours.  Your actual salary will be £28,435 per annum, and this is paid in 12 equal instalments over the year.  If you are interested in working on a part time basis, please get in touch and we are happy to explore this further with you.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for an individual who has:  

  • Grade C (equivalent) or above in English and Maths GCSE or equivalent
  • Knowledge of mental health and wellbeing in order to best support young people
  • the ability to relate effectively to students, their parents/carers and professionals working with them
