Exam Invigilator

As a Casual Exam Invigilator in our school, you will invigilate for exam periods throughout the school year.  Working in a friendly team under the guidance of the Exams Officer and Senior Invigilators, you will make sure our students sit their exams in line with school and the Joint Council for Qualifications regulations.

Hours for this role are agreed at the start of each exam season and will usually be between the hours of 8.30 and 3.30 pm and can be for part or full days, depending on your availability and the exams taking place that day.  The hourly rate if pay is £12.65 per hour.

Why choose us?

The Exams team plays a key part of the life of our school throughout the school year.  Previous experience of invigilation is not required as we will give you full training and support.  We contact you in advance of every examination period and ask you to confirm your availability, so we can fit around any existing commitments you may have.

In their last visit (February 2025), Ofsted described our school as ‘an inclusive school, where pupils are encouraged to ‘Be Here, Be Yourself and Be Your Best’. They described Driffield students as ‘kind and respectful’ and ‘inquisitive and motivated to do well.’ Our motto is ‘work hard and be nice to people’ and we are genuinely committed to our students and our staff, and we do everything we can to ensure every child receives the care and guidance they need to thrive. We are proud of our school and would welcome the opportunity to give you a tour, so please don’t hesitate to contact Jess Burnell (HR Assistant) on 01377 232362 or by email via hr@driffieldschool.org.uk if you would like to visit or find out more.
