We are looking to appoint an Assistant Headteacher to strengthen our Senior Leadership Team in order to ensure we can continue to raise standards, both academic and pastoral and ensure the school builds a reputation for excellence. In the first instance, the portfolio of the responsibility will be focused on Alternative Provision.
The Alternative Provision portfolio will include the leadership, management and operation of effective Alternative Provision practice and support for all pupils across the school’s off-site roll, including the day-to day leadership and management of staff. The successful applicant will ensure strategic planning is implemented across the Alternative Provision Vocational Pathway and Short Stay provision and facilitate inclusive practice across the school to ensure pupils with special educational needs are being given the best experiences possible.
The successful candidate will lead the day-today leadership and management of staff and support with approaches for pupils with complex needs and barriers to learning.
Starting in September 2026, the role is up to Full Time and will be paid on TEAL’s Leadership pay scale points L9 to L14 (£63,070 - £71,330).
If you are interested in working on a part time basis, please get in touch as we would be happy to explore this further with you.
Why choose us?
We offer specialist support for pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs and this is at the centre of everything we do. We support our pupils to accelerate their academic, social and emotional skills development and ultimately enable them to positively engage with learning. We have a strong, supportive and dedicated team who collectively work with all stakeholders to provide the best possible educational experience and environment. Our Trust moto is ‘work hard and be nice to people’. We are genuinely committed to our pupils and our staff, and we do everything we can to ensure every child receives the care and guidance they need to thrive.
Within The Education Alliance Multi Academy Trust, there are lots of opportunities for collaboration and also further opportunities to develop and progress. As a trust, we are here to make great schools and happier, stronger communities so that people have better lives.

To support this, we offer training for our leaders to ensure they are able to translate our values into behaviours which are built on the principles of dignity, respect, professionalism and integrity.
We offer a range of benefits, including:
