Attendance Manager

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive individual to join the team at Malet Lambert as an Attendance Manager who will manage the schools attendance team in working with pupils and their families, as well as other professionals, to promote high levels of attendance and reduce pupil absence.

The working hours are from 8:00am to 4:00pm Monday to Thursday and 8:00am to 3:30pm Friday during the school term.  You will also be paid for an additional 74 hours per year, which enables you to attend team meetings and training and development that sits outside your normal working hours.  Your actual salary will be £32,466.96 per annum, and this is paid in 12 equal instalments over the year so even when it is the summer holidays, you continue to receive the same payment that month.  If you are interested in working on a part time basis, please get in touch and we are happy to explore this further with you.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for an individual who has 

  • Relevant higher-level qualification or equivalent experience in a school setting
  • Experience in the use of relevant computerised systems and ability to interpret data and apply high level data analysis and statistics skills
  • Experience of managing, leading and developing teams, fostering a culture of ethical leadership, whilst having high expectations to assist continuous improvement
  • Experience of financial responsibility and budget management is desirable
  • Has well-developed ICT skills including a good working knowledge of School Management Information Systems, alongside Microsoft 365 Applications i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams etc
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a variety of written and verbal formats with a wide range of people – relevant to the audience and purpose.
  • Ability to work independently interpreting and applying relevant guidance, policies and procedures
