Kitchen Assistant

We are seeking to appoint general kitchen assistant to join our team at The Hub School from September 2026.  The Hub School are providing brand new kitchen facilities, and you will be a part of a fantastic team.

The ideal candidate will desirably hold a minimum of level 2 food hygiene training certificate and a working knowledge of food hygiene and safety, or be willing to attend the necessary courses to gain the appropriate knowledge and skills.

You will need to be a team player who is flexible and that can work to a high standard without supervision. Ideally you will also possess the appropriate skills to assist in some preparation of meals for the children, if required by the Cook, and hold a full driving licence to travel between two sites when needed.

You will be expected to serve lunch and clear & clean the school hall, eating areas & service equipment & lunch equipment, in accordance with current food safety regulations.  We are seeking a person who is approachable, enthusiastic, flexible and committed to provide and develop our meals service.

This is a permanent position, working 10 hours per week term time only. The normal working hours will be 12.00- 2.00pm, Monday to Friday. 

Your actual salary will be £5,609 per annum, and this is paid in 12 equal instalments over the year so even when it is the summer holidays, you continue to receive the same payment that month.
