Attendance Officer

We are looking for an organised and detail orientated individual to join the team at Malet Lambert School as an Attendance Officer who will manage the day-to-day administration of school attendance and punctuality and to use systems to improve on baseline figures as set by the school.

The working hours are from 8:00am to 4:00pm Monday to Thursday and 8:00am to 3:30pm Friday during the school term.  You will also be paid for an additional 37 hours per year, which enables you to attend team meetings and training and development that sits outside your normal working hours.  Your actual salary will be £23,412.03 per annum, and this is paid in 12 equal instalments over the year so even when it is the summer holidays, you continue to receive the same payment that month.  If you are interested in working on a part time basis, please get in touch and we are happy to explore this further with you.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for an individual who has 

  • GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths, grade C or above
  • Good level of IT skills in Microsoft packages including Office, Word, Outlook, and Excel 
  • Administrative experience within a busy office environment and the ability to produce accurate information to strict deadlines
  • Exceptional standard of written and oral communication at all levels, including handling a range of enquiries and data accurately & methodically
  • Ability to analyse data to produce letters and reports when required
  • Ability to work to deadlines and provide reports on requested information throughout the year
  • Effective team worker, who responds to change positively
