Year Manager

The pastoral team at Malet Lambert are looking for an experienced, dedicated and enthusiastic Year Manager.

The Year Manager will be responsible to Head of Year and Deputy Headteacher for the day-to-day management of efficient and effective Behaviour for Learning procedures, providing a confidential, administrative, and pastoral and community liaison function

This is a permanent position working up to 37 hours per week, term-time, You will also be paid for an additional 111 hours per year, which enables you to attend team meetings and training and development outside of your normal working hours. However we welcome applications from those looking to work part time.  Please specify your preference on your application form by answering the “would you like to request flexible working” question and confirming the details.

The working hours are from 8:00am to 4:00pm Monday to Thursday and 8:00am to 3:30pm Friday.  Your actual salary will be £25,870.45 per annum, and this is paid in 12 equal instalments over the year.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for an individual with 

  • English & Maths A* -C grade or equivalent
  • Experience of working with young people
  • Has well-developed ICT skills including a good working knowledge of Microsoft 365 Applications i.e. Word, Excell, Outlook, Teams etc
  • Demonstrates effective communication skills (both orally and in writing), relevant to the audience and purpose.
  • Understanding of behaviour policies and mechanisms to improve behaviour and maximise learning opportunities
  • Proven experience of working in a school environment
